The concentric chain compares delicacy to intricacy with its weightless feel but complex, interlocking construction. We like thinking about a chain, something that can be very industrial in its use, as an elegant, elevated accessory. 7 1/2" length.
Elaine Butcher studied metal smithing and glass blowing at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Inspired by minimal but inventive designs, rough stones and geometric shapes, and the versatility of jewelry meant for work or play, she created her small business, Elaine B Jewelry.
7 years after being one of the many makers in the small but saturated arts community in Charlottesville, Elaine transplanted to Detroit, Michigan in the spring of 2017. She quickly set up a studio & workshop in the downtown district of Cass Corridor, found a team of kick-ass ladies to help keep her in check, and carried on.
Now, she has jewelry in stores all over the country but still manages to go above and beyond for each one of her customers. From engagement rings to setting a family heirloom on a chain, or making repairs and polish up a piece that was purchased years ago, she maintains a personal relationship with her customers despite a growing business.
