Marlene Dusbiber has been a professional carver since 1985. Marlene and her husband John, also an accomplished carver, live in a reproduction timber frame saltbox and barn near Ann Arbor, MI. A 1972 graduate of the University of Michigan, Marlene is inspired by country living and is constantly creating new designs to add to her collection of folk-art woodcarvings. We have carried their work at 16 Hands for many years and are always thrilled to introduce people to these wonderful pieces. Our "Birds of Michigan" display is always popular with both locals and visitors. Each piece is signed by the artist.
Unless described otherwise, the carvings sold here have a wire for hanging. Almost all varieties can be made to stand instead of hang upon request. Some variation should be expected, as these are individually carved and painted.
