Handmade in India
This handmade journal features deckle edge paper and a cover made of recycled fabrics. The cover is made from grey cloth that is spread on printing tables. The cloth acts as a layer between the material that is being printed and the padded table lining. During printing, the impressions seep through the fabric being printed, to this cloth, forming many overlays of pigments. Each of these covers is a visual record of history of the designs that were in use, while the cloth was on the table. An example journal is shown, but each will be a unique blend of colors and textures.
