For Care of a wooden trivet: Hand-wash over the sink with mild soap and water. Avoid submerging wood into the water and Do NOT PUT it in the dishwasher. Prop it to allow both sides to dry before laying it back down on a surface. Occasionally oiling the wooden trivet with mineral oil to help longevity.
