Brocade Tile Wall Sculpture
Handmade in Michigan by
One Acre Ceramics
This multi-color modern tile wall hanging is made up of four high-relief, interconnected tiles and eight small accent tile "buttons" assembled together to form a three-dimensional art piece. The tiles are glazed in a variety of colors as pictured. The wall piece can be hung and has sturdy hanging wires imbedded in the backing.
Each tile is RAM-pressed and finished by hand. A RAM Press is a machine, invented in the USA in the mid-1940s, that is used to press clay into moulded shapes. After a bisque firing to 1900 degrees, each tile is carefully glazed and then fired to 2150 degrees. The clay and glazes are lead-free and food safe.
