Stoneware Earring Holder in White

A handmade stoneware earring holder by Barb Lund. A beautiful and functional piece that has a small footprint but great organizational appeal. Room to hang 25 pair of earrings from the edge. About 4.5" tall and 4.75" wide at the lip. Expect some variation in glazes as these are all individually made in the artist's studio. Makes a great gift!Barb has been making wheel thrown pottery since 1984. At age 34, on a whim, she took 3 short for fun classes at the Campus Community Art Center at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. The first night of the first class she was hooked! She then went on to take 2 semesters of ceramics at the official ceramics department. After a move to Olympia, Washington, she managed a for fun ceramics shop at Evergreen State College for a year. Upon her return to Bloomington, she took over management of the same small studio where she had taken her first classes. She worked and taught there, honing her skills, until 1990. It was then that she was able to build her own home studio where she has been working ever since. She now makes a wide range of dinnerware including mugs, bowls of several sizes and styles, pitchers and casserole dishes. These are mostly available from Barb at the art fairs she attends. In the late 1990's, she developed her version of the earring holders for which she has become known.
